Matthew 5:30-“And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off and cast it from thee; for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell”

ONE HAND ONLY

If one hand is cut away in time, then no damage will be done.

But if both hands are digging in, will I still glorify the Son?

If my hand is merely an instrument and instruments are tools.

May my hands be used as instruments always obeying godly rules.

Sometimes some action someone else has done is for them right and okay.

But if I did the same thing I might cause my self or others to stray.

Lord, help me keep daily choices clear. May I be a realistic voice.

Alone with God, prune me Lord, eliminating anything but Your Choice.

Ponder or Journal- Alone in a crowd sometimes means everyone else is doing something and you are choosing not too. Peer pressure is difficult especially in spiritually social settings.

Beware lest you indulge in an activity that is offensive to you or someone else. We all have a sphere of influence. Will you or your followers be spiritually affected by any decision you make in secret or in public? Better that you cut off your right hand if it is offensive.

Journal activities you are now going to alter because of the offense it might be to God, to yourself or to a fellow believer. LISTEN, God might be saying something to you re holiness.

Dear Lord, Thank you for Your still small voice. Keep me alert to Your pruning daily.

Help me to eliminate anything in my life that could cause another to stumble. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
