GOD’S SAY-SO

I want to listen  so closely to God’s teaching

That when He speaks, He’ll have full sway

 As I begin to know His Presence

I’ll walk no other way.

I want to listen so carefully to Him

Until I’ll know when to hush or speak.

When the Holy Spirit empowers

I’ll reach those He wants me to reach.

I want to be a conduit for Jesus.

So I listen closely to His Heart.

The words that come from my speaking

Will be God’s say-so to impart.

God’s say-so is a word of wisdom.

God’s say-so is a pearl of great price.

May I walk so closely to Jesus

That every say-so changes a life.

Journal Jottings or Points to Ponder- God created us with the ability to draw conclusions and have opinions. Does my opinion reflect God’s say-so, or my intellect?

Think of the strongest opinions you entertain. Whose are they? What part has Biblical researched played in your conclusions. Watch your “givens” they might need pruning.

Dear Lord, Thank you for Your forgiveness regarding my personal opinions. My habits of making common sense conclusions need to be pruned. Keep me open- minded as You teach me and change my heart. Thank you for the joy of consulting You with every decision. Help me to cherish all YOUR say-so’s found in Your Word.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
