Rev. Marlene Bergman's Poetic Devotionals

These POETIC DEVOTIONALS become more meaningful if read with My Utmost for His Highest a daily devotional written by Oswald Chambers. They were inspired by the Holy Spirit while reading MY UTMOST, truly a sacred surprise.

WELCOME TO THE MONTH OF JUNE

Introduction-  My heart cries out today. This year is almost half gone! What has been done for Him that will last for eternity? Are revivals be put on hold because summer programs kick in? Many of us work for God, but how many of us work with God?

Today your door of opportunity is open. Move ahead with urgency from Him.

 JUNE

June is a month of earth’s revivals.

June offers God’s beauty through flowers.

June marks one half of a year gone.

What have I done with God’s Power?

My heart cries out in amazement.

Put a brake on my days and my hours.

Half of this year is irretrievable

Am I content to sit under life’s bowers?

“No, no, My Child!” Calls the Savior.

“Half gone is My Call for this year.

But seeking My Face, I will teach you.

I’ll renew any loss with your tears.

I will hold steady and lead you.

I’ll rebuild what the locust has chewed.

I am your Restorer and your Builder

Now watch until December, what I will do!”

Journal Jottings/Points to Ponder-What are your plans for the next six months? In the light of eternity, prioritize them from one to ten. If you had six months of life remaining, what things on the list would you eliminate? What might you include?

Dear Lord, You have my days and years numbered. Thank you for Your plans for my life for this season of my life. Help me to seek Your Will daily. I want to live for You daily. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
