March 1- John 21:17 - “Lovest thou Me?”
Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today
I wonder how you would finish this sentence? I love the Lord because…
GOD’S WORD
God’s Word is my Companion. He Guides and Mentors me the most.
The Word of God can chastise, revealing weaknesses, if I boast.
The Word of God gives focus in the areas I prefer to hide.
Surgically removing cankers, left festering and off to the side.
Sin is a sly, subtle enemy designing evil tentacles to take root.
But God’s Word is like a microscope revealing every evil shoot.
It isn’t very comfortable to give focus to personal sin.
But thank God for His Wisdom as He with Truth walks in.
It hurts. I resist and holler, but my Father knows what is best.
The Holy Spirit loves me and in God’s Word I hopefully rest.
I appreciate the Way He leads me, guiding my steps each joy-filled day.
Secure in His Care and Caressing. God keeps me from going astray.

POINTS TO PONDER or JOURNAL
List the reasons you love the Lord. Circle the most important one to you. What value is the Bible to you? How often do you read it? What is your deepest personal need? Read through the Psalms. Circle the words that fulfill, answer or provide that need for you.
E.g. If you need protection, High tower, hiding place, shield, etc. can be circled. These are all personal Promises for you. Claim them for yourself and praise Him.
DEAR LORD, Thank you for the many things You are t o me. I love and appreciate the way You always comfort me through Your Word. Help me never to take the Bible for
granted. Help me to take time to memorize scripture. Thy Word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against Thee. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
