ABANDONMENT
What have I to abandon?
My home, employment or car?
What should I plan to relinquish?
Maybe my hopes and dreams to the stars?
What does it mean to abandon?
Is it to gain status or display or show?
Is it to abdicate family responsibilities?
Or is it so my notoriety will glow?
“No, no,” cries out the Father
“Abandonment is freedom in Me.
Abandonment embraces more blessings
Than you would ever dream there could be.”
Abandonment is obedience to the Father.
Abandonment is alone without show.
Abandonment is relinquishing agendas.
Abandonment is God’s best place to grow!

Dear Lord, Thank You for the privilege of intimacy with You. Help me to be “willing to be willing” to abandon myself into Your care and keeping. Lead me. Help me to follow step by step. Thank You for Your encouragement and Patience with me. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
