MARCH 20

Genesis 18:17-“Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do?”

Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today

WHY ASK? WHY PRAY?

Why should I ask the Father for one more thing today?

Why should I beg and plead again? Is there not a simpler way?

“My Child.” the Father answers, “My Child come close to Me.

I know before your request time, your personal wants and pleas.

Abraham needed a miracle. He requested strength for each new day.

You also need My Wisdom when life’s quandaries muddle your way.

My Child, I know you very well. Before your birth, I came to die.”

“Why?” you ask, “Should I pray again?” “ Do you really want to know why?

I desire for you to ask of Me. There is no other human way

For you to get to know me well, than when you stop long enough to pray.

Praying is so good for you. Praying is where relinquishment comes.

Committing your needs to the Father’s Care is a freedom only begun.

So keep on praying, dear weary heart. Feel My Presence holding you close.

Whenever you take time to talk to Me, You are pleasing God the most.”

JOURNAL JOTTINGS- About what did you last pray? Was it answered? Have you ever experienced unanswered prayer?  How did you feel? Why might God NOT answer some petitions? How does God feel when we pray?

Begin a prayer journal. Date your requests. Date the answers. Praise Him.

DEAR LORD, Thank you for the privileges of prayer. Thank you that You never become tired of my repeated requests. Thank you for the ways You encourage me and increase my faith in prayer. Thank you for the promises from Your Word that I can claim and pray to increase my faith. Thank you for NOT answering the requests that were NOT good for me. Thank you for Your Divine, Eternal point of view. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
