MARCH 28

John 11:7- “Let us go into Judea. His disciples said unto Him, Goest thou thither again?”

Or MDB translation, “Do I have to do this again?”

Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today

AGAIN LORD?

I thought I’d learned that lesson. I’ve traveled this way before.

But God says, “Child keep walking, there is something to learn. Do more.”

I do not understand this pathway. I know a much smoother way.

But God says, “Child keep walking. I’ll teach you what you should say.”

So I keep on walking life’s pathway. I’ll repeat those lessons I learned.

I don’t like retracing my footsteps, but God wants something more burned.

Self-will and pride need direction. Self-pity and hurts need to go

I suddenly see God’s Purpose. I thought my wounds didn’t show.

God says,

“Child simply wait and keep steady. I’m holding you close in My arms.

When you walked this path yesterday. Satan meant to do you many harms.

I revealed at that time what you could handle. But now that you are focused on Me

We will walk this road together. Your forgiveness has set you free.

POINTS to PONDER OR JOURNAL- Have you ever found yourself in a setting and you sensed that it was familiar and yet you could not remember when before you had been there? Senior’s label this  “Geriatric moments”. In the spiritual life, we learn elementary lessons and move on. Sometimes God purposely brings us back to simplistic basics to refine us. List the “flashback” lessons He is refining lately in you. Watch with excitement and anticipation for the plans He has for you as you resubmit to His refining process. Was the process easier the second time around?

DEAR LORD, Thank You for the lessons You have taught me in the past. Thank You for Your Infinite Patience with me when I need a refresher course. Thank You for the sensitivity that has flourished in me because I was quicker to respond to Your teaching this time.

Thank you Lord, for being the God of the second chance. Help me to REALLY get it this time. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
