MARCH 29

LUKE 12:40-“Be ye therefore ready also.”

Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today

Sacred surprises are reality checks that demand or require a ready response!

SACRED SURPRISES

God walked across my agenda and peppered it with Himself.

Sizing up my daily chores removing things from my “must do” shelf.

He had ribbons of joy for my bondage. He had balloons of blessing for me.

I never expected such goodness although I know that He personally loves me.

He gave me freedom in place of bondage. He gave me peace in spite of my pain.

He creatively walked through my heartache reminding me that He knows my name.

Reinvesting my love in others was an option He taught me to use.

Soon my burdens became much lighter as I lovingly care for you.

Those SACRED SURPRISES keep coming. They roll across my path every day.

As He daily plans my agenda I have parties with Him all the Way.

So set aside your controlling agendas. Try following Jesus one entire day.

His SACRED SURPRISES will flourish because you are willing to trust and obey.

POINTS TO PONDER or JOURNAL: Think about your plans for today. List them. How many of them could you eliminate or postpone. EXPERIMENT. Leave a few spaces in your ‘Day Timer”. Pray.  Ask the Lord to lead you in and during the necessary events on that agenda. Watching for changes. They might even become sacred encounters for the Lord. Journal the differences you notice in your day as you offer more and more of it to Him. Perhaps pursuing sacred surprises will become a way of life for you. At the end of every day, take inventory. Did you have a least one sacred surprise? Watch for more tomorrow.

DEAR LORD: Thank You for the fact that You are interested in the details of my life.

Thank You for the joy of looking for sacred surprises from You no matter my age or life circumstances. Thank You for all the joy and privileges that walking with You brings into my life. Thank you for including me in parties of freedom and rejoicing today. In Jesus’ Name AMEN
