March 4 .Acts 20:24-“But none of these things move me,

neither count I my life dear unto myself.”

Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today

NOTHING

“Nothing to lay at Your Feet, Lord. Nothing to bring but defeat.

Nothing to offer to my Jesus. This year seems wasted. I repeat.

Nothing of value that’s sacred, nothing for a trophy or grace.

What if I died tomorrow? How could I gaze on Your Face?”

“NOTHING, My Child?” Jesus comforts. “Nothing to lay at My Feet?

I have seen much more than “nothing”. I have seen silent endurance feats.

I have seen your faithful persistence. I have seen your patience in pain.

I have seen your forgiveness in silence. I have seen you surrender full reign.

I have seen your strength and your purpose. I have seen peace through your grief.

I have seen the love that you whispered. Your prayers offered peaceful release.

I saw those cups of cold water. Folk saw My Strength through your hand.

I was there when you offered worship. Your “nothings” are a part of My Plan.

Those “nothings” you thought were so empty, those “nothings” you estimate small

Your “nothings” are filled with My Purpose. Your “nothings” are fulfilling My Call.

I long for folk willing to be “nothing”. “Nothing” means the vessel is free.

I can use “nothing” with purpose. Your “nothings” are a blessing to Me.”

POINTS TO PONDER OR JOURNAL

Take inventory of what you have done for the Lord recently. How else might you honor Him. Working for the Lord is not essential, but it is good manners. It is a wonderful way of saying THANK YOU, Lord.

Dear Lord, Forgive me for the longing to be part of a “great exploit” for You. When all the time, Your Plan for me is a servant role. “Oops” I almost missed Your Blessing.

Thanks for loving me in spite of myself! Love from One of Your Kids!
