MARCH 5
Acts 20:24- “…so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus”
Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today
NEED IS NOT THE CALL
Need is not the Call of God. Distractions are what need holds.
May you always be obedient to Christ as the Gospel message unfolds.
The Call of God is to loyalty. His Call is an appointment from Him.
Intimacy with the Father qualifies as anointed obedience begins.
Never let the need drive your Call. Never allow your focus to dim.
Loyalty to Christ is all you need. All places and timing are with Him.
Keep your eyes upon the Lord. Keep watching and waiting in prayer.
The need is there when opportunity calls but needs are everywhere.
Whatever brings a soul to Christ. Whatever your tools might be
Make sure the Call is loyalty to Him and not just a need that you see.
God will direct His program for you. Do not be distracted by needs.
Obey the Lord whatever you do and then you His Sheep will feed.
Finish the ministry He has called you to do. Do not spread yourself too thin.
Distractions from the Call of God will not bring lost souls in.
Walk obediently in the path He leads. Keep focused on your Call.
Eternity is just up ahead and in your court is the ball!

POINTS TO PONDER or JOURNAL Have you ever seen such dire need that you wanted to drop everything and meet the need? Sometimes that is exactly what God wants us to do but He also wants us to keep focused. Servant hearts have many tugs and pulls in ministry. Intimacy with the Father works. Journal a recent adventure in obedience that was outside your comfort zone. Remind yourself of your original Call frequently.
Dear Lord, With all the needs around us, help us to remain in the center of Your Will for our lives. Help us to be obedient to Your Call, Your interruptions and Your plans for our lives. Sometimes Your interruptions are all part of Your Call. Thank you for the privilege of serving You wherever and however You lead us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
