MARCH 6

2 Corinthians 6:4- “…..in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses”

Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today

LIVE LOOKING TO GOD

If the eyes of my spirit are open

If I move obediently towards my God

Than all of the mundane and paltry

Will be trivial on this earthly sod.

If the eyes of my spirit are open

If my life holds eternity’s view

Then every day has fresh Purpose

And every Promise from His Word is true.

Even if there is discouragement of vision

Even when no one thinks to applaud

God holds me tenderly in His Presence

Until I relax in the arms of my God.

So I will keep looking to Jesus

The Author and Finisher of each task

No matter my afflictions or distresses

He supplies every need when I ask.

POINTS TO PONDER or JOURNAL: Sometimes drudgery slows our progress and brings discouragement.  Think of the most mundane task you did today. How might it become a place to glorify the Lord? Jim Bakker was assigned latrine cleaning in prison. He began to thank God for the filthy assignment, because that was the only place Jim could be alone with His Lord. Do you take the Lord in your places of drudgery and unpleasantness of your life? He will go anywhere with you. Invite Him. Journal the difference He makes.

Dear Lord, Thank You for always walking with me in every affliction and distress. Thank you for the lessons you are teaching me as I walk with you.   I am never alone because You will never leave me or forsake me. Keep me teachable in every circumstance of life. Help me to love and encourage folk going through their personal crucibles. Teach me creative ways to find peace and joy during every part of my journey today. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN
