Marlene and Jerry Bergman were married in 1964 in Brampton Ontario.
Together, they began a Graphic Arts Business in their home that grew beyond their wildest dreams. They employed 140 folk when they retired.
God also blessed them with two wonderful children. Steve lives in Vermont while Peggy and Tim Minor reside in Ontario. Three beautifully, talented granddaughters complete the Bergman family. Jerry carries pictures of them all! GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS has become their family theme song.
Marlene Bergman has been involved in numerous ministries for over 45 years. She began teaching Sunday School as a young girl learning to captivate the hearts of her audience with illustrations and object lessons. Her listeners are still captivated today!
Actively involved in her local church activities, Marlene found time to teach elementary school, lead Pioneer Girl’s Clubs, be an internationally approved speaker with Christian Women’s Clubs, serve as a zone leader for the Canadian Gideon Auxiliary, and speak for Aglow International. She also had the privilege of hosting community Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Prayer Meetings during crusade preparations. Marlene enjoyed the privileges of it all.
In all her busyness, Marlene realized that her personal relationship WITH Christ was
more important than all the serving she could ever do.
She asked herself, “ Has my serving become more important to me than the One I SERVE?” OUCH. It was time for her to stop long enough to take inventory!
During this time of deep personal assessment and reflection, SEARCH for SIGNIFICANCE by Robert McGee crossed her path. Folk saw changes taking place. With great encouragement, Marlene was asked to teach seminars based on what she was learning. A series of timely topics developed. E.W.E. and R.A.M. were born and her poetic pen began to flow. This was indeed a sacred surprise.
Marlene’s humor, transparency and teachable spirit make her courses effectively worthwhile. She creatively uses object lessons and illustrative materials. All her messages are Bible –based.
Her audiences are still captivated by her simplistic yet anointed teaching!

PUBLISHED BOOKS by Marlene D. Bergman
GENESIS JOURNEY- Published in 1999- A Path of Forgiveness
Genesis Journey was birthed from Marlene’s personal journals and study of the Book of Genesis during her quiet times with the Lord.
During her studies, Marlene realized that Genesis is really a book about forgiveness.
Adam and Eve had to forgive each other to function as a couple. Leah needed to forgive Jacob for his lack of love for her. Perhaps because of Leah’s example, Joseph forgave his brothers for their inhuman treatment.
This is a book about relationships and forgiving written in simplistic poetic form.
Readers describe it as a personal, daily walk with the Genesis Bible characters.
Hopefully, you will feel their joys and their pain while noticing their dependence upon their Heavenly Father.
The body of Christ is paralyzed by unforgiveness. Who do you need to forgive?
Forgiveness should be given even if the offender never considers admitting offense.
As long as we hold unforgiveness in our hearts, the offender is still controlling us.
Enjoy the poetry, but most of all; enjoy the message by choosing to forgive daily.
God loved fallen man. Our forgiving, all knowing God must have had Calvary already planned when sinful man fell. Genesis points to the solution of Calvary. Imagine!
