ADDITION

Addition involves growing numbers.

Growth involves expanding too.

Lord help me surrender my giftings

Growing all my potential for You.

You gave me salvation and sanctification.

You have given me Your Call and Your Gifts.

But I must take the initiative

Adding personal flexibility to the list.

My will, my obedience and my habits

Are a large part of who I am.

Lord, help me take what You’ve given

And grow it as a gift from Your Hand.

If I instinctively turn towards You

If I habitually call on Your name

Then my life will be full of additions

Additional intimacy with You I’ll gain

Choices, decisions with deletions

Fine tune God’s supernatural plan

Lord, help me discipline and altar

Myself as I yield to no man.

With Your love I’ll add Godly compassion.

To Your work, I’ll add blood, sweat and tears.

To Your kingdom, I’ll offer my allegiance

Additional virtues with Your Anointing are clear.

Now I can walk by faith into Your victory.

You keep providing Your equiping everyday.

Thank You for the privileges of obedience.

You offer our Truth and Your life all the Way.

JOURNAL JOTTINGS: Have you had a vision or a calling and ignored it? How might it be renewed or revised? How could a vision protect your life? Have you ever asked a question for which you knew the answer? Everyone’s time was wasted. Have you done that to God? Could it be that someone is running from their knowledge of God’s Word.

Dear Lord, Thank you for the visions, callings, dreams and nudges you birth within us. Keep us alert and rejoicing in the joy of walking hand in hand with you. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
