ASSORTED LOVE

There is nothing lovable about us.

Human beings carry wrinkles and warts.

Totally undeserving of God’s blessings

He keeps on loving when we’re out of sorts.

He loves us because that is His Nature.

He loves us in spite of each mess.

God loves beyond our pompous, pampering.

Loving sinners is what He does best.

If we throw all pretence out the window

Transparency becomes treasured in truth

God dwells in the heart of a seeker.

Allowing His Spirit to be a kind sleuth.

God’s love supernaturally follows

As we acknowledge from where we have come

Disciplining ourselves into His obedience

God welcomes lives with a past overcome!

JOURNAL JOTTINGS: List the people you see most frequently. On a scale of 1 to 10, score your love relationship with each. If love is a decision and a discipline, begin to pray for the low scorers on your list. Journal the resulting sacred encounters.

Dear Lord, Thank You that You love unconditionally and with  the clearest transparency. Help me to love people the way You do. Guard my lips to keep every shared confidence.  In Jesus’ Name. AMEN.
