HABITS

Yes, Lord, I have a very good habit. My habit is time alone with You.

I have routines and organization. I am proud of “my disciplines” too.

The Lord says, “Child, wait a moment. I am pleased you spend time with Me.

But is it because of a routine or is it because My Love set you free?”

An hour spent alone with a good habit is fine but not always the best.

Time spent alone with the Father should change you and offer you rest.

Time spent alone with the Father should include love across the board.

Your habit will become renewal because of the osmosis of God’s Word.

When habits are dropped for habit’s sake. Marinating with God occurs.

Anointed by the Spirit’s Presence, intimacy grows where habits once were.

POINTS TO PONDER OR JOURNAL-List your spiritual habits or disciplines. Which are automatic? With which do you struggle? Assess them. What motivates each? Which are purposeful and which are traditional with little or no eternal value? Purge your list.

How would God have you spend the time gleaned? Journal the surprises.

Dear Lord, Help me to always use my time wisely. Keep me spiritually  balanced with prayer, reading the Word and service for You. May I regularly practice your Presence in all I do. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
