Ephesians 1:18- “That ye may know what is the hope of His calling….”

HOPE OF HIS CALLING

I remember well when He saved me, recalling with joy the place I knelt.

Rising with a fresh new beginning, with my sins forgiven, relief I felt.

I longed to tell others about Jesus. I wanted something great to do.

God said, “Child, just wait in My Presence. I enjoy dear, teachable  you.

In the school of the Holy Scriptures, as you bask alone at My feet,

My anointing will develop abilities that were buried by sin’s defeat.

Submit your will to Your Father. Listen and wait for My Gentle Voice.

I will nourish and bless you. In obedience you will follow My Choice.

Then you’ll see the Hope of My Calling. Then you’ll find direction in My Word

Time spent alone with the Father is the Hope of God’s Calling undisturbed.”

JOURNAL JOTTINGS or POINTS TO PONDER-If you were standing in a court of law, what evidence would folk give that you are a follower of Jesus Christ? Write your defense and include the Hope of His Calling. Could anyone learn about the Hope of God’s Calling through your life today?

Dear Lord, Because of the HOPE OF YOUR CALLING, I am free to serve You.  May I be broken bread and poured out wine to nourish others to grow in the things of God. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
