2 Peter 1:4- “Partakers of the divine nature.”

RESPONSIBLE

If I am a responsible servant, if God’s disciple I want to be

Then I need to obliterate all selfishness because of what He did on the tree.

If I am a responsible servant, if His Nature is growing in me

Then I will graciously bless others until they too in Christ are free.

If I am a responsible servant, God will manifest Himself through me

Lavishing His Grace upon others as His Spirit lovingly flows through me.

If I am a responsible servant, a partaker of Himself and His Plans

Then I will be insulated in hardship, because of Peace from His Mighty Hand.

Responsible, teachable and obedient, that’s all He asks us to be.

Remember dear, treasured Pilgrim, Jesus cares because He loves you and me.

JOURNAL JOTTINGS OR POINTS TO PONDER- Confusion comes if two natures are trying to control a life. What evidence is there that selfishness or a new nature are in conflict? Have you felt a tug-of-war at times in your life? How do you plan to solve this dilemma? From where will you glean your guidance? What value might there be in scripture memorization? List some scripture verses that you intend to memorize as ammunition. Jesus used scripture in His battles with Satan. We should too!

DEAR LORD, Thank you that the peace in my life is in direct proportion to the amount of my self- surrendered to You. Forgive the fear that grows in my life when I do not practice the discipline of releasing cares to You. Help me to take the responsibility to choose to follow You in every area of my life. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
