MAY 22

John 17:21-“That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that thy also may be one in us.”

JESUS PRAYED

What did Jesus pray for you that day so long ago?

He prayed that you’d be one with God.

He doesn’t want to let you go.

What did Jesus pray for you, with agony in His heart?

He wanted to hold you close to God

So that you and He would never part.

What does Jesus pray today as He intercedes for you and me?

He wants to draw us close to God.

Closer than the bark on a tree.

What answer comes to Jesus’ prayer? What answer flows from your heart?

“Jesus I’ll serve you the rest of my days,

Your blood protects me from Satan’s darts.”

I don’t deserve the love Jesus gives. I don’t deserve His prayers.

Jesus kept on loving and praying for me.

His persistence proved that He cares.

May I be persistent in prayer with the Lord? May I be a partner with Him?

Whatever I do, wherever I go

May God’s Good News never grow dim.

JOURNAL JOTTINGS or Points to Ponder- Is Jesus’ investment in prayer for you  worth His while? Journal your reasons. If no prayer is unheard or wasted, how does your prayer investment in others measure up to Christ’s persistence as intercessor on your behalf. PRAY WITHOUT CEASING is a command and a motto for every believer.

ACT ON IT Now. Make a prayer list. Journal the results.

DEAR LORD, Thank You for Your tireless interceding on my behalf. Help me to pray for others as You lay them on my heart or bring them to remembrance. Lord, I realize that I might be the only person praying for a need. Help me to take my prayer responsibilities seriously. Make me an effective prayer warrior for Jesus’ Sake, AMEN.
