Rev. 1:17-“And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet.”

Please remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for  Today

Inspiration-One day, a deeply troubled woman knelt by her bed with her bowed head resting in the circle of her arms. Suddenly, she felt an awesome Presence. She raised her head, leaving her arms clasped. With surprise and joy, she saw a vision of the nail-scarred feet of Jesus within the warm circle of her arms. She was hugging the feet of Jesus.

The vision disappeared as quickly as it had come. The memory of the warmth of that vision changed her life and ministry forever. From that day on she realized the impact of spending time at the feet of Jesus. She encouraged everyone she met to do so.

Not all of us have visions, but we can all spend time at the feet of Jesus.

HIS FEET-HIS TOUCH

In the weariness of living, God is walking close beside.

He sees each labored footstep as in Him you now abide.

Because His Call in upon you, because you have His Grace

His approval touch is present at His Feet, your rightful place.

At His Feet, you’ll squirm and wrestle. At His Feet you’ll weep and sigh.

At His Feet, you’ll find His Anointing. His fresh touch, you’ll not deny.

Pray through as you bow with thanksgiving. Pray through until storms dissipate.

Pray through, His Anointing is on you. At His feet there’s no debate!

JOURNAL JOTTINGS-Journal the impact of time spent in the Presence of God.

Wait in His Presence in silence. Listen carefully, you might hear His Voice or experience a sacred surprise. Perhaps fresh wisdom will come. Write about how you feel marinating in His Presence.

CHALLENGE- Try a block of time in silence, just thinking about His love for you. Start with 15 minutes without tapes, TV or computer use, etc. NO SOUND AT ALL. Write your experiences. Extend the time. Try an entire weekend in silence.  You will be amazed at the Peace of His Presence. Just think of the sacred surprises you have missed.

God can’t speak to us if our mind is cluttered with other sounds! Silence is golden.

DEAR LORD, Thank you for the impact of waiting in Your Presence. Thank you for the peace that You give to me that passes all understanding. Thank you for the fact that time spent at Your Feet changes the entire appearance and structure of problems and concerns. Thank You for teaching me that I can bring my burdens to Your Feet and leave them there as I surrender myself once again. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
