Genesis 13:9-“If thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.”
Please remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today
Introduction-Lot took what appeared to be the good land for himself but history proved it was not the best choice. Abraham’s “less than good” portion became God’s best for him. Sometimes what appears to be good is not God’s best for us. BEWARE. Remember Lot’s wife!
I’ll do this “good thing” for Jesus, possibly less than my best.
But if I do this “good thing” for Jesus, my spiritual conscience will find rest.
God says, “Child I planned something different. I had a mission plan in view.
You decided to do “a good thing” but My Best was overlooked by you.
Wait, dear Child, in My Presence. Your impulses are natural and good.
But “eye hath not seen” what will happen if you’ll wait for My Best if you would.
I’ve seen the “good things” you offer. I’ll change them into excellence for Me.
But wait, oh wait, precious Pilgrim. From natural, human efforts be free.
Now release all the “good things” you offer. Run them past the Holy Spirit’s Best view.
Pick up your realigned ideas, God orchestrates His Best work through you.
Goodness is lovely and precious. But God’s Best is more harmonious today
All “good things” surrendered become miracles in God’s hand everywhere everyday.

JOURNAL JOTTINGS- Points to Ponder- Do you consider God’s opinion in decision making? Have you invited Him into your mundane activities? Adventures with Him are available. Why settle for a “good thing or good idea” when God has a better one planned.
It takes time and quiet to learn to hear His direction. Try it with little things. Prove Him.
God enjoys revealing things to you, but He never forces Himself. He is a gentleman.
Dear LORD, Thank you for your best ideas that are always better than my good ideas.
Help me to wait for Your opinion regularly. Help me to practice Your Presence in every decision, creative idea and concern. Keep me aware of Your Best ideas when I plan my day. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
