I Thessalonians 5:17-“PRAY WITHOUT CEASING

Please remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for  Today

Introduction-What is your prayer life temperature? Are you a thermostatic or thermometer type prayer intercessor? Do you reflect prayer temperatures of companions or do you allow the Holy Spirit to design  prayer  surges by Divine appointment.

BREATHING IN PRAYER

Did you breathe in prayer this morning?

Or did you gasp a prayer at noon?

Did you camp a while in His Presence?

Or did you run out of air too soon?

Did you expect your God to answer

Or was it a stilted, traditional routine?

Lord, help me to keep on breathing

Perpetual prayers keep Pilgrims keen.

Lord, forgive my “wet noodle” efforts

When I come before Your Throne.

May all prayer to You be focused

As I breathe in prayer to You alone.

For every burden I am given

May I perpetually be in sync

As I continue the breath of praying

Words reveal what the Father thinks!

POINTS TO PONDER or Journal-If prayer is as close as our breath, if we need breath to live, why don’t we pray more? Prayer should be so much a part of our lives that we are not even conscious of the effort. Try an entire day praying for everything and everyone on you path that day. Journal the results.

Dear Lord, Thank you for the privileges of prayer. As I read Your Word, make me more conscious of the reasons and ways You prayed. Help me to pray without ceasing. Thank you in advance for the difference perpetual prayer is going to make in my life.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
