Introduction-What blessings might be missed because of lack of tarrying?  When was the last time you waited in God’s Presence for more than a few seconds? Try it.

TARRYING

Why should a Christian tarry?

What is the meaning of this?

Tarrying is heart preparation

While cleansing of all sin lists.

Tarrying is a time of refreshing.

Tarrying is simply waiting on God.

Even His disciples needed to tarry

As they walked with our Lord on this sod.

Tarrying is a time- lapse experience.

Tarrying grows intimacy with Him.

Tarrying is waiting for His Spirit.

Allowing His Holy work to kick in!

Lord, walk across today’s busy agenda.

Until we plan tarrying time with You.

So that in all of life’s daily necessities

We’ll realize tarrying is a necessity too!

Journal Jottings or Points to Ponder-If you were preparing to meet an important personage, you would do your homework and learn all you could about him. How well do you REALLY know Jesus Christ. What value is the Trinity to you? What part of the Trinity do you cherish most? Tarrying acquaints us with a God’s attributes. God knows you well, but how well do you know Him? List the attributes of the Godhead that you know. As you tarry, your list will grow. Enjoy basking in His Presence and be alert for further sacred surprises. You might even learn some new things about yourself.

Dear Lord,  Thank You for the privilege of  access into Your Presence that was made possible when you rent the veil in the temple by dying on the cross for my sins. Help me to cherish my times alone with you. Help me to allow nothing and no one come between me and my time in Your Presence. Thank You for the revitalization and peace I find in Your Presence. I know that in Your Presence is fullness of joy and at Your right hand are pleasures for evermore. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
