MOTHER’S HANDS
Our Mother’s hands are empty, God called her home today.
She was up and dressed and ready. God simply led the way.
“The Lord might come before that” was her favorite truth to speak.
Waiting now in heaven, Mom prayed that we her Lord would seek.
Mom laid down creative sewing. Dimming eyes found no medical cure
Giving up her driving, she stopped chauffeuring ladies’ Florida tours.
Fear of blindness held her in bondage. Frustrations grew everywhere.
But God said, “Child I am with you. I will guide you and I care.”
Mom began using her hands more often. She touched us with her love.
Clinging with strength and purpose, Mom talked about her God above.
God saw that she was tiring. We knew her heart had a weaker flow.
So we placed our Mom in God’s Hands and now lovingly let her go.

Thank Your God for the touch of our Mom’s hands.
Thank you God for Mom’s love that showed.
Thank you for our fond memories and miracles.
Mom’s touch was a place where love grows.
