Nailed to the Cross

At a recent church service our Youth Pastor had us literally nail our recent sins to the cross and leave them there.

This was a profound experience.

NAILED TO THE CROSS

"If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins

and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."(1 John 1:9)

I hear the sound of the hammer.

Anguish and loneliness are there.

I hear the sound of the hammer

Jesus bore my sin, I'm aware!

I heard the sound of the hammer.

I daily must listen and claim

Because of the sound of the hammer

I'm cleansed daily in His Name.

I ask not for freedom, but for forgiveness.

His shed blood carries cleansing for me.

I heard the sound of the hammer.

Freedom is now mine because of the tree.

Freedom to enter into His Presence.

Free to enjoy the Spirit's full Power.

Free to claim the fruit of His Spirit

That hammer offers a free blessing shower.
