OCTOBER  13  Ex. 2:11-“Moses went out to his brethren and looked on their burdens”

LOOKING ON

God was aware of my desert.

He was looking on in my need.

He saw each tenderized longing

He recognized my desire to plant seed.

I was trying to feed God’s people.

God was teaching me how to lead.

Even Moses encountered some bushes.

He stopped, he listened and did heed.

God revives our Call in life’s deserts.

He revives our Call through our tears.

God renews, restores and replenishes

He might even add days to our years!

Be encouraged on life’s journey, dear Leader.

We are Pilgrims and Strangers down here.

Adopted like Moses, we are aliens

God cares when life’s deserts hold tears.

Stay by that bush and prepare for His blessing.

Keep your shoes off until holiness is found.

Look around and be alert for Jesus.

Your eternal assignment is on sacred ground.

JOURNAL JOTTINGS:  Why does it take a desert experience to get a leader’s attention?

Journal the privileges of your desert experience. Notice, Moses assignment was confirmed in the desert.

Journal what you know your Call to be in life. Maybe you need to simply remove your shoes. What earthly props might you need to untie? Notice how clear God’s Voice is when encumbrances are set aside.

DEAR LORD, Thank you for being aware of the “dryness” in my life. My shoes are off Lord. Help me to be willing to be willing to WAIT once again. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
