PRAYER IS WORK

Prayer is the work, I’m called to.

And if I pray unceasingly to God

Prayer offers His key and His answers

Pray could hold God’s staff and His rod.

The staff of prayer brings me comfort.

The rod of prayer might convict.

Alone in quiet silence before Him

God will ignite any vision to be lit.

Pray on. Pray on. Pray unceasing.

Pray on. Pray on through life’s storms.

No other work holds such value

As praying until lives change form.

Prayer changes people and their thinking.

Prayer liberates lives “‘til they’re free.

But of all of the changes that happen

Prayer changes my thinking and me!

DEAR LORD, Thank you for the business, the work and the discipline of prayer.

Thank you for the privilege of sometimes seeing the results of prayers answered.

Lord, help me remember that Your view is so much bigger than mine.

Thank you for the fact that time spent praying changes me more than anything else does.
