OCTOBER 2-Mark 9:22- “IF thou canst do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”
HIS GLORY
I saw His Glory on the mountain.
Where I felt His wondrous care
But in the valley, I lived His Glory
Especially when saturated with prayer.
I saw His Glory on the mountain
There are plenty of heroes there.
Mountains hold temporary accolades.
But in the valley is intimate prayer.
In the valley we find humiliation.
In the valley is surrender of soul.
But the God of the mountains is waiting
Surrendered obedience is His final goal.
If the God of the mountain holds power
If the God of the valleys offers peace,
Then His strength is not diminished in valleys
He allows valleys for strength to increase.
Travel on in humility, dear Pilgrim.
Walk on through both sunshine and rain.
The fruit that grows on mountains
Sprang from seeds planted in the valley of pain.
In the mountains, we bask in His Glory.
We offer praise to the Lord while we’re there
But the fruit of the war torn Pilgrim
Is as lush as his time spent in prayer.
