OCTOBER 21-Jude 20-“Building up yourself on your most holy faith.”

 IMPULSE OR DISCIPLINE

I often prefer the impulsive, the creatively, dashing thing

But God says, “Child walk softly, impulses offer transient flings”

I really prefer some action, the “Let’s do it, Let’s go, Let’s fly”

But God says, “Child walk wisely, until your view has eternity’s eyes.”

I really prefer the timely. “Let’s finish and leave this behind”

But God says, “Child, Wait for My leading, I have more patience for you to find.”

I am learning to prefer His leading. In obedi ence, I am learning to wait

Because waiting for His direction is a discipline that is never too late.

Thank you God, for Your tenderized patience. I appreciate the way You love

I can hardly wait to embrace You, when I run into Your arms above!

JOURNAL JOTTINGS: Depending on your personality type, you might find this devotional yours!

List the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual reasons that waiting is good for us. When has waiting proved to be God’s perfect timing in your life? When has impulsiveness “paid off” for Jesus? Soul winners are often impulsive.

BATHED IN PRAYER, soul-winning encounters can be both impulsive and well orchestrated. The exciting thing is that God uses us in a variety of ways…SO….Be impulsive if it is God ordained!!!!

DEAR LORD, Forgive us for the times when we should have waited for Your direction . Forgive us for the times when we hesitated and missed an opportunity to witness for YOU.

It was filled Thank you, that in the family of God we all have unique giftings. Help us to prepare ourselves daily to speak or to be silent as you lead us. Thank you for the privilege of trusting the Holy Spirit enough to lead us. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
