GOD’S CHOICE

If God has chosen you for His Service

If God has placed a Call on your life

Then any other of earth’s endeavors

Thwarts His best design for your life.

If God has chosen you for His Service.

If your hand once recognized the plow

Then any other of life’s earthly choices

Will hold unrest when you kneel and bow.

If God has chosen you for His Service

If you have strayed along other paths

Your life will not have the contentment

That serving Jesus offers when asked.

Perhaps some saint has hurt you.

Perhaps circumstances were bleak

Whatever robbed God’s kingdom is over

He’ll heal every Pilgrim who seeks.

Stop, Stop being fearful , dear Pilgrim

God can orchestrate Calls overdue

He can restore, renew and rekindle

All He asks  is obedience from you.

Arise and  watch  for  your mantle.

Take the rod in your hand today.

If God has chosen you for service

You’ll be happy in no other way.

Plow well, dig deeper and plant seeds

The seasoned servant is a treasure somehow

God needs every Called one in the action

(The time for your service is NOW.)

Or

THE TIME FOR YOUR HEALING IS NOW.

 JOURNAL JOTTINGS: Journal the reasons or excuses a saint might use to decline God’s Call into full time ministry. God’s time lines are so different from ours. List the reasons you would counsel a lay person to go into full time ministry today. Find a person who is in full time ministry and encourage them. . Keep a diary of your mentoring methods/ministry. If we are all called, how many more nudges towards obedience do you need?

DEAR LORD, Thank you that we are all CALLED into ministry if we know you as Savior. Thank you that like Queen Esther, “we are brought into the kingdom for such a time as this”. Help us to heed your “wake up call” if you are prompting us into service again today. 

May we spend the rest of days encouraging ourselves and others to exercise the GIFTS that are within? In Jesus” Name. AMEN
