THE ATONEMENT
The atonement made the difference between my Lord and me
The atonement made the difference by His Grace I’m now set free.
The atonement made the difference from bondage I am stirred
The atonement made the difference, yet some have never heard.
This completed work of Jesus declared there is nothing I must bring
The atonement made the difference and this forgiven heart now sings.
The atonement made the difference, His blood holds the cleansing power
The atonement makes the difference, make your choice this very hour!

JOURNAL JOTTINGS: Sin and Satan are at the base of every estrangement. The first one began in the Garden of Eden. Journal what the atonement means in the reconciliation process offered between God and Man. Accepting the atonement is a choice. When did you accept this gift offered by the Lord? If not, why not now? Read John 3:16 and personalized the verse. Journal the results.
DEAR LORD, Thank you for making atonement or paying the penalty for my sin by dying on the Cross. I accept this free gift of forgiveness for my sin from the loving hand of God. I realize that this is a personal decision and choice. I admit I am a sinner. I believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. I confess that Jesus Christ is now Lord of my life. Help me to live the rest of my life in a way that is pleasing to You. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN (You might like to record the date to remember this decision.)
