OCTOBER 8- Matthew 11:28-“Come unto me"
COMING
Coming requires the decision of surrender.
Coming eliminates squabbling over “stuff”
Coming allows healing for life’s sorrows
Coming discovers His sufficiency is enough!
Coming is
submission to a respected leader.
Coming requires relinquishing what’s inside.
Coming involves one timid step, then another
Coming occurs while we constantly abide!
At times coming is honesty with a searchlight.
Sometimes coming slows until we crawl.
Coming to Jesus daily involves obedience.
While coming to Him is a privilege for all!
Why do we delay in our coming?
Why are we sluggish about this?
Laziness robs us of true blessings.
The blessing of being cherished as His!

JOURNAL JOTTINGS: Journal the frustrations a parent experiences when a child refuses to respond to the parental request to COME. How must God feel, when He beckons to us and we procrastinate? Journal the blessings we have missed in our disobedient distractions.
LORD, Keep our ears tuned to hear your call upon our lives. You only call us a loving parent for our own good.
Thank you for the privilege of being your well loved well-disciplined child. In Jesus’ Name. AMEN
