A LADY’S HEART
There came to me a broken heart
Assuming God had abandoned her there.
Poverty of circumstance had weighed her down
She concluded that God did not hear or care.
There grew in her a searching heart.
She was learning to stop and pray.
She was watching to see how God works.
As her preconceived notions slipped away.
There festered in her a convicted heart.
Her sins were too dreadful to speak.
Jesus said, “ I died to forgive
I paid the price for those who seek.”
There came to her a hopeful heart.
Forgiveness through His blood met her there.
Jesus did what He said He would do.
She was cleansed by her whispered prayer.
There blossomed in her a tenderized heart.
Knowing that God would meet her need.
She opened her heart to let Him in
Obeying His Word planted seed.
There came unto her a thankful heart. All that He promised was coming to be
God had been waiting to reveal Himself. Obedience and faith are still the keys.
There grew in her a peaceful heart. Rejoicing was etched on her face.
God had met her and saved her soul. His Presence now sets the pace.
Planted in her is a transparent heart. Her journey was well worth the trip.
Joyfully in love with Jesus today, she knows He is the One who equips!
