MAKING SALAD
Daddy carefully carried the new six-foot plant into the living room. It was the final item completing the décor of their new home. Soon guests would be arriving for the house warming party.
The table was set, the dishes were laid out and the lasagna was baking in the oven.
Mommy walked in to the living room, just in time to see three-year old Maggie striping the leaves from the shiny new tree.
“Maggie, What do you thing you are doing? Daddy and I just bought that tree”
Maggie kept right on picking the leaves and dropping them quietly to the floor.
“I’m making salad, Mommy!”
Maggie had heard her Mommy say she hoped she’d have enough time to make the salad before the people came.
“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.” Ecclesiastes 9:11
Ten years later….we don’t remember the lasagna, we don’t remember the dessert, but we all remember Maggie’s salad. Thanks for the memory! We love you Maggie!
PS. What might you do today that will bring a smile to someone’s life 10 years from now?
