WELCOME TO SEPTEMBER

 September is  a colorful month of foliage change along with returning to school and business routines. In the north,  days become cooler with longer nights. Harvest is completed as winter preparations begin. The animals’ coats thicken and winter clothing is taken from storage. Families and loved ones prepare to settle in to their winter routines around hearth and home. Perhaps there will be more time for relationships to grow and the Word of God to be read. Use your time wisely, there will not be a rerun. God bless you and yours. Cherish each other as winter approaches, always keeping the warmth of summer in your hearts.

 WHET APPETITES

Lord, whet the appetite of folk I meet. Make them hunger more for Thee.

Awaken a craving in their souls because forgiveness sets men free.

Lord, whet their appetites for more of You. Keep their focus on Your Son.

Holiness comes through the Power of Your Cross. Forgiveness is already done.

Lord, whet my appetite for You. Guard my feet, my heart and my mind.

Keep me pursuing Your holy Will. Until my will becomes lost in Thine.

PONDER-Sometimes seasonal changes cause lethargy in a body. CAUTION- changes of circumstances and relationship might cause lethargy of soul. Keep keen and alert. Regularly prepare spiritual food for yourself and for those in your sphere of influence. Mentor someone. Help whet their appetite for the things of God. Keep yourself purified unto holy living. Caution- Lethargy could become contagious. Continual feeding on the Word of God creates healthy appetites for more of God. Keep alert for the still small Voice that He lovingly uses to give direction for living. Journal the times you know that God has been leading and guiding you through a life seasonal change.

Dear Lord, Thank you for bringing me to this season of my spiritual life. Thank you for making me sensitive enough to obey Your Voice. Whet my appetite. Keep me alert. Help me to lovingly mentor others. “Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me” is the prayer of my heart. Lead me into holiness for Your honor and Glory. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
