UNDER THE FIG TREE

Under the fig tree, He saw me.

Preparations for today happened there.

Preparations for service unhindered

Fortified by an arsenal of prayer.

Under the fig tree, He saw me.

No one else even knew I was there.

Silently awaiting this moment

Silently longing for answers to prayer.

Under the fig tree, He saw me

Under wraps hiding secrets within.

Preparation for service was in progress

Beginning in solitude’s light dim.

Under the fig tree, He saw me

He saw my potential alone.

Recognizing obedience and surrender

Choosing me to become bone of His Bone.

PONDER- If crisis reveals character, waiting must be character building time. How do you build your character during waiting periods? What parts do prayer and reading the Word play? The deeper the intimacy with God in retooling times the deeper the eternal value of the next assignment.  List things you have done for God. Beside each list the lessons learned immediately prior to the assignment. God’s educational system is fantastic! Bask in His blessings and loving teaching that is personalized daily. Keep  on preparing to do great things for Him.

Dear Lord, Thank you for your loving educational system in my life. Thank you for reminding me of the equipping services You offer. Keep me focused on Your Word. Help me to regularly spend time alone with You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
