Matthew 20:22-“Ye know not what ye ask.”

Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today

WHAT SHOULD WE ASK?

What do I ask the Father as prayerful petitions swirl around?

What should I ask of Jesus that is realistic where sin abounds?

What should I ask in my confusion when time constraints are real?

The Will of God is shrouded because the hungry need a meal.

Try death. Wear the shroud of surrender. Try waiting with confidence there.

Dying alone in His Presence causes any confusion to clear the air.

Try obedience with God given Patience. Progress grows as servants wait.

Intimacy and friendship with Jesus opens many a tightly closed gate.

God’s view offers eternal horizons. God’s view is shrouded at times.

But the mantle and mandate are ready. Be obedient as God’s answer arrives.

POINTS TO PONDER- Because time is such a controlling factor on this earth, we press into situations entirely focused on time lines. God’s timing is RARELY the same as ours.

Almost every prayer request has a preconceived time focus. Think of a time when a prayer request had no time constraint. Journal the difference your level of peace, faith and trust had. Note the differences in decision making if timing were not a factor.

Dear Lord, You gave us time. Forgive us for being controlled and so deeply affected by time. Help us to remember that our times are in Your Hands. Make us an instrument of peace as we relax regarding time in Your Presence. Lord, sometimes, I don’t know how to pray. Teach us to pray in Your Will and Your Way. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
