SURRENDER

What I surrendered yesterday might remain a struggle today.

What died in me yesterday must be buried in obedience, God’s way.

Surrender is dying to self daily.  Surrender is a personal thing.

Whatever is offered in surrender can be released with obedient wings.

Surrender is a step towards holiness. Surrender is an intimate task.

Surrender has privilege and purpose. Unique for each item asked.

So submit to surrender, dear Pilgrim. Submit to the Man with the Cross.

Surrender is dying with discipline. Surrender announces who’s boss!

Surrender should be fresh and current. Surrender is learning God’s requests.

Surrender holds seeds of resurrection planted in hope’s final rest.

Surrender is simplistic and honest. Surrender becomes progress alone.

Surrender once more weary Pilgrim. That’s why God rolled away that stone!

POINTS TO PONDER- Surrender proves intimacy with the Father. Surrender is a multi faceted process involving devotion to the One to whom we are surrendered. Examine your life. In what areas do you need to surrender to gain more intimacy with the Father? Journal the differences surrender makes in ministry and daily living.

Dear Lord,  Thank You for the patience You have with me as I surrender to Your Will for my life. Forgive me for the times I struggle with surrender. Thank you for the blessings submission brings. Thank you for more blessings than I deserve. Truly, I am drinking from my saucer, because my cup has overflowed. Goodness and mercy is following me and I thank You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
