TEMPTATION

Temptation is a normal thing that comes to all earth’s men.

It has no respect for wealth or fame. It enters whatever life sends.

Temptation is a thought that attacks, revealing our weakest point.

It can be subtle or open wide, but weakens all human joints.

Temptation cannot be prevented in life. It rarely offers a sign.

Resistance increases when God enters in. Temptation is no longer mine.

My temptation is a personal thing. I know its label well by name.

Sometimes it can be the very thing that created my claim to fame.

Beware of temptation. Be on guard. Watch for sinful pitfalls, my friend.

God specializes in creative ways for resistance that He defends.

Resist temptation. Flee from its grasp. Avoid those places of sin.

God will strengthen if you ask. On your knees is the place to begin.

PONDER- Temptation is not sin. Temptation is something everyone meets in life.

Sin occurs when temptation is acted upon. List some temptations. How do you personally resist or flee temptation? What part does saturation in the Word have in this resistance effort? Claim and memorize a scripture verse that will keep you from temptation. Write a scripture verse beside each temptation on the list. Memorize the verses.

Dear Lord, Thank you for the control and comfort that Your Word brings to me. Help me to resist temptations that come my way because of the power and strength You offer me.  Thank You for the keeping and protecting Power of the Holy Spirit every day. “Thy Word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against Thee.” In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
