GENEROUS BEHAVIOR
I thought I had generous behavior until I met a woman with a plan.
She determined to destroy me. In her mind controlling jealousy ran.
I thought I had generous behavior until a neighbor knocked at my door.
Aggravated, spewing accusations, rejection grew within me even more.
I thought I had generous behavior, until a child was molested by one
Under the facade of Christian, undermining any work God had done.
I thought I had a tolerant attitude until diabolical terrorists’ bombs.
Asking, “Where was my Father?” Righteous anger destroyed any calm.
Suddenly, I thought…..
I could have been trained to be a terrorist. Evil potential is seemingly free.
But God in His Infinite Wisdom, saved, spared and birthed love in me.
Lord, walk through the agony of living. Draw us closer to You alone.
Until forgiving behavior shines through any wounding that comes home.
I can grow generous behavior if in obedience I forgive everyone.
As long as I harbor unforgiveness, I am stifling the work of God’s Son.

POINTS TO PONDER- What is the worst thing that reveals man’s inhumanity to man? What should be the response of those walking with God? Note how veteran saints have dealt with adversity and trials of life.
Journal the lessons learned from them.
DEAR LORD, Thank you for the generosity you have in loving me because I
am undeserving of Your love. Help me to carry Your standards of generosity to
the unlovely and the unlovable. Help me to forgive those who are choosing to
live against all the teachings You have given us. Help me to be charitable to
all and wisely give them a good example of Your loving kindness. In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.
