Luke 18:31- “Behold we go up to Jerusalem”

Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today

MY JERUSALEM

We want to do Your Will, Lord, but there is a JERUSALEM in the way.

Plenty of  sad disappointments disrupt our  peaceful day.

We definitely want to obey You. You are always with us now.

But we are oft discouraged since we put our hand to the plow.

We want to obey Your bidding. We want to learn from You.

We realize that we are privileged and there is much more serving to do.

But JERUSALEM, Lord, It’s that JERUSALEM. Pain and fear pepper our path.

We timidly face  our JERUSALEM knowing obedience is all You ask.

So today, we’ll face our JERUSALEM. Today we’ll obey  as You lead.

Help us to follow freely because in JERUSALEM You want to plant seed.

POINTS TO PONDER- There is a difference between being useful and being obedient. Which does God want us to be? Journal the joy of  obedience at the price of being useful. Jerusalem represents the road to Calvary. Many distractions  and worthwhile projects were  found along Christ’s journey. He never allowed them to distract Him from His Called purpose.   BEWARE of distraction from God’s  best and first plan for your life.

DEAR LORD, Thank you for keep Calvary on your agenda of obedience. Help me to serve You obediently wherever You place me. May I be insulated from the distractions of accolades or  criticism along the way.  Keep me focused, Lord. In Jesus’ Name. AMEN.

P.S. Thanks for   this birth date of my precious Grand daughter, Grace Wesley.
