2 Corinthians 10:5-“Bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”
Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today
RENEW MY MIND
Renew my mind, Lord Jesus until You have full control.
Renew my mind, Lord Jesus, no matter where I go.
Renew my mind, Lord Jesus. Impulse is sometimes Your Plan.
With every impulse birthed in me, I will seek My Father’s Hand.
Renew my mind, Lord Jesus, for whatever You’ve planned today.
May I relax in Your Promises if human impulses cloud my way.
Godly impulses surrendered to Jesus, birth ministry fit for a King.
Bathing each impulse with wisdom creates eternal songs to sing.
When human impulses surface, much prayer should be offered too.
God who creates all impulses will faithfully teach what to do!
But I must walk in obedience. I’ll seek God for His daily plans.
Impulses ordained by the Father become tools to rescue fallen man.

PONDER- If every impulse is followed, ministry becomes chaotic. How would you counsel a creative yet impulsive disciple? Remember Peter. He impulsively cut off an ear. God used Peter’s teachable personality to become foundational for the future of the church. Impulsive people are often enthusiasts. Enthusiasm is a gift to the church. Are you the most enthusiastic person at your church? Could you use a fresh dose of enthusiasm? Why is it vital that impulsive souls become saturated in the Word of God? List some of your impulses. How many of them were definitely God ordained?
Dear Lord, Thank you for the creativity You have placed within each of Your Children.
Help impulsive people to seek Your Divine direction and leading. May I never discourage a heart full of zeal for You and Your Work. Thank you for the Holy Spirit’s guidance in all creative, energetically impulsive hearts. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
